I think this is a member of my family,as my father’s family came from Castledawson. I don’t know how to find out as I can’t get the census to show me any information . please can youadvise me how to go about finding out more this person.

Try http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie use both the 1901 and 1911 options, just type in surname and Co Londonderry
this will give you a list.some Castledawson, some Upperlands, also a linen village.
also http://www.discovereverafter.com this is a graveyard search for names, again surnameshows 2 in Castledawson.
I know they is a Rbt Alexander Mackrell buried in Desertmartin 18th Sept 1981 aged 70 wife Sarah
address given as killy neese Road Magherafelt.
