I have been desperate to get a picture go my great uncle and when I came across this website with his name Jack Harte I was so pleased at last I could see what he looked like. I can see the resemblance to my grandfather – jacks brother. I also loved the fact I could see where he was buried. Very emotional.
Jack is also my nans uncle 🙂

I have a photo of John Harte with his sister Christina (aka Teenie – my great granny and Laura’s great great granny!) It was taken just before he and Teenie’s husband (George Garvin) went off to war. My great granda George made it back. Sadly John and so many others didn’t. I’ll try and post it here. xx
Lynn
Would love to see the photo.

Lynn – I’m currently researching our family tree and would be interested in any old photographs you have and in particular the one you mentioned above. I recently came across one of your mum sitting on Granda Garvin’s lap with Granny and Geordie sitting beside them. Your mum must be about 7 or 8 at the time. If I had your email address, I could send you a copy, or if you are on facebook, I could send that way.
Would be grateful for anything you can share with me.
